"A rock and roll band is a crazy thing.
You meet some people when you're kid, and unlike any occupation in the whole world, you're stuck with them for the rest of your life no matter who they are or what crazy things they do."
- Pete Townshend
"We are so fortunate to be stuck with you."
- M & K

Recently Mike and I realized that our Moose Mt friends and music family are not ready to gather together as a large group.
Consequently Moose Mountain will not be happening here in Greenwood. Instead MM XXVIII will be held everywhere, everywhere you are. So we would like to invite you all to participate virtually and postal-ly. We've been dreaming up a variety of ways for you all to participate. Just as Moose Mountain is not exclusively for musicians, our invitation includes other skills and delights we practice here together each year. Think if it as a sort of Moose Mountain Review. Here are some ways you can play with us wherever you are the first week of August:
Send a postcard to us. Send a note, a quote or a thought. Make your own, buy one from where you are or dust off that one that's been in the back of your desk drawer for a long time.
Recreate a record album cover that influenced your life.
Share a story from Moose Mountain as a Video, audio or write it out. Help us to remember why we gather and who we are.
Share pictures and stories of our Doug as we begin storing and saving our memories of our good friend and fellow️ Moosekateer.
Write a song or poem commemorating some aspect of Moose Mountain that you look forward to.
Moose Mountain banners. Make a 20 by 20 banner that will be part of a string of banners along the gauntlet of the deck. You can make your own from whatever you have around the house, or start with something like these: napkins: https://tableclothsfactory.com/products/5-pack-20x20-white-chambury-casa-premium-cotton-napkins?variant=46967592399. Let me know if you need support and I will send you your own 20 by 20 piece of fabric to work on for your banner.
And of course posting music videos. Your favorite old songs, new songs or song with a story.
Find a new recipe for a breakfast food to share, no oven, can feed from 10 to 30 people, will not melt in the August heat.
Design a recycling technique that will inspire everyone to clear their own dishes and bottles and cans off the deck every evening.
Create a pool game that is as much fun to watch as it is to play. Example ring toss with different kinds of rings. Invited everyone to stand around the edge of the pool and watch attempts to get a ringer.
More information will be forthcoming, and here is the website where you can view and post your contributions as we play along: https://www.moosemountain.net/ (thanks Michelle for your marvelous web page skills and Todd for the shiny new MM Logo)
Questions and comments, as always, are welcome and looked forward to receiving.
You know we love you and miss you, right?
Mike and Kim

How wonderful that we can stay connected and share the love from far away.
